The How & What for of Savings
Save your savings! It's almost a forgotten principle. Not many do it period! But in the long run of the financial freedom marathon, you need it. I, myself am struggling on starting to save. What if something major happens? Then you're stuck.
There are several things we all need to start packing away for, including but not limited to: Retirement, College, Emergency, Investing, and a nice Cushioning for financial safety.
Emergency: You'll wish you had it when something happens, trust me. Hospital expenses hurt deep, especially unexpected ones, and this can even include pregnancy. So it's best to be prepared, even if it's just a little. Better a little than nothing at all.
Cushioning: A soft, fluffy chair is more comfortable than a hard, rough one. Especially for the long haul! When you have plenty of money saved up and sitting snuggly in your account (or shoe box, I guess), your more prepared for the positive actions (investing, retirement) and the negative actions (unexpected emergencies, college costs) that life has to offer.
